According to the mayor of the municipality of Tetova, Dr. Prof. Sadi Bexheti, we have discussed for important issues for mutual collaboration with the ambassador of Turkey in Skopje. “We have requested from the Ambassador, collaboration on protection of the cultural heritage from Ottoman Empire, as well as coexistence of communities in the municipality of Tetova. Furthermore, the ambassador has ensured me that we are going to have their support in the field of economy; our duty is to provide conditions for investment. Another point of the discussion was the collaboration of the municipality of Tetova with the municipalities of Turkey in the field of training the employees in municipal administration”, said Bexheti.

According to him, the municipality of Tetova will expand the collaboration with the municipalities and institutions of Turkey. In the municipality of Tetova are realized several projects with the Government of Turkey, such as, the work in the complex Arabati Baba, and the construction of Sahat Kulla in the center of Tetova. In the field of municipal partnerships, the municipality of Tetova has collaboration with the municipality of Konya and Bajram Pasha in Turkey.

The Ambassador of Turkey in Skopje, Asllan Hakan Okçal was satisfied from this visit, where he thanked the mayor for the reception. “I am proud that I had the chance to meet several times with the mayor Bexheti, during today’s visit we discussed about collaboration between the institutions of Tetova with the institutions of Turkey”, said ambassador Okçal.
