Local tax payments exceeds 85 percent
The section of local tax administration that operates in the framework of the municipality of Tetova reports that during the year of 2009 the tax payments have increased. According to the leaders of this section the tax payments has reached 85 percent. This percentage is not reached in the other municipalities, and the result is accomplished as a result of dedication of the leaders and the employees of this section. “Soon in this section for the citizens of the municipality of Tetova will be connected the electronic network of taxation, where the citizens will have direct access to convey their accounts on how much tax payments have they made and how much their total local tax is. This system will be connected to ease the procedure of payment and at the same time the citizens will have direct access to their account”, said Abdulla Musai, the leader of the section of the local tax.
This section has operated in the framework of the central government, and all the taxes were collected on the account of the central government, but the procedure have changed now and the local taxes remain in the account of the municipality, while these means are used for investments on the infrastructure, education and culture. -20°
