The idea of creation of the interdisciplinary Committee is to gather information and then to draw the action plan conform the global decentralization project for children’s right and conform the project “Municipality according to children’s provision”. This committee will be as an instrument for determining the priorities for children’s right as well as to stimulate children’s participation in the municipality’s work, in a way that they will be more active in local level. Furthermore, in the framework of this project will be created separate budget in the framework of the municipality of Tetova for children’s right affirmation.

The representative of UNICEF in Macedonia, Sheldon Yett, said that is very important this Committee to become legal instrument. According to him, the project “Municipality according to children’s provision” is global initiative and is implementing in the municipalities all over the world.

The mayor of the municipality of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Sadi Bexheti, has informed the representative of UNICEF Sheldon Yett for all the commitments of the municipality of Tetova in terms of protection of children’s right. The municipality is committed in a lot of projects regarding children’s right and at the same time has supported them financially. The mayor Bexheti has welcomed the idea of creation of standing committee for children’s right and vowed that it will be realized by municipality of Tetova.
