Tetova surrounding with its natural beauty with cultural and historical monuments, gradually is affirmed as attractive tourist center in Macedonia.

Central place in this area takes the tourist center "Sunny Hill" with the beauty of Sharr Mountain within the mountain massif, relative altitude, and snow glorify this recreational and sports center very much.

The "Sunny Hill" is extended to 1780 m altitude, 18 km from Tetova, 48 km from Sunny Hill to Skopje (70 km from the airport of Skopje). You can reach the city center by paved road and by 7 km long funicular railway, which means that you can arrive there in 40 min., with an altitude difference of 1400 m.

Sun Hill has 11 ski-lifts, with a length of 7.7. km., connecting skiing slopes in the altitude of 1070-2510 m.
The length of skiing slopes 20 km, three of which are according to FIS criteria.
There is annual organization of international competition "Sharr Cup" which is registered in FIS organization.
The first of its kind was held in 1947. Also, in recent years is organized the manifestation "Beka Kup" in which young talents show their skiing skills.

The tourists are accommodated in city's hotels and touristic places, in 2 hotels and 10 motels and in villas.

There are about 400 villas in the villa neighborhood.

Sharr Mountain with its forest assets, wild animals and surrounding touristic facilities, enables the development of tourism for the passionate hunters.

In this mountain, there are about 30 lakes known as the "Eyes of Sharr.

The largest lakes are:
- White Lake,
- Black Lake and
- Bogovina Lake.


In the summer the most attractive is the Luboten peak, where the mountaineers house "Luboten" and several small buildings for recreation and relaxation are located.

At the foot of Luboten peak lays the beautiful lake of Livadhia, with an altitude of 2200 m, with average depth of 7 m.

Tourists also visit the cultural and historical monuments of Tetova, such as:
- Mosque of Pasha,
- Bektashian Complex " Arabati masjid "
- Castle of Tetovo,
- The Old Hamam (Turkish bath),
- Stone Bridge,
- Leshok Monastery etc.


A potential attraction site is Hisar Spa also known as Banjishtë, where there are several sources of mineral water. These sources of water pour in the River Pena (Shkumbini). This water feature is healing, so residents of Tetova consume it and bathing in the improvised pools.
